Serving Our Community

As a non-profit organization, Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, is a community based home care and hospice agency serving the counties of Androscoggin, Franklin, Oxford, N. Cumberland, Kennebec and parts of Sagadohoc and Somerset. For a map of our service area, click here.

Here are some ways we serve the people within the communities we serve:

  • "We Honor Veterans" program. As a proud partner of the We Honor Veterans program, we are committed to providing the highest quality care to our nation's veterans as they embark on life's final journey. To learn more about the program, click here.

  • Grief Support. Our Pathways and Guidance Through Grief programs assist adult community members with education and support in dealing with the loss of a loved one. These support groups are available in the Lewiston-Auburn, Oxford Hills, Rumford/Mexico, Farmington and Lakes Regions areas. A Bereavement after Suicide support group is offered as well. Camp Dragonfly, a program of the Program for Grieving Children & Teens, is a one-day retreat designed to bring together campers with key supportive people in their lives through small break-out groups and sharing as a community.

  • Community Health Promotion. We sponsor flu vaccination clinics for residential care facilities in the tri-county area, blood pressure screenings, and health promotion events. Through special grants we provide additional services, such as maternal and well-baby care for low-income families.

  • Referral Source Partnerships. We have forged strong partnerships to ensure that the flow of care is smooth, well-planned and responsive to the needs of patients and families. Click here to learn more.
